The Spitalfields Trust did an incredible job of turning the ruins of Shurland Castle back into a modernised living space over nearly a decade long project. Unfortunately this project stalled in 2008 as the financial and housing market crash happened and their full plans could not be completed. We are stepping in to pick this up where they left off and help make the house as good as new! Our next project is to repair these fantastic ruins and surrounding walls. For this we are investing our own funds and also will be reaching out to funders to help make this happen.
